In January 2021, Governor Baker signed legislation that established a new requirement for municipalities within the MBTA service area to modify their zoning to enhance multi-family housing development.

The Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Community Development has released draft guidelines that determine compliance with this legislation.

The Planning Department will present information related to this legislation, the draft guidelines, and what compliance means for Acton at the March 21, 2022 meeting of the Select Board at 7:30 PM.
