Please join the Department of Public Works for an Open House on Thursday, April 3rd from 6-8pm in Room 204 at Town Hall to discuss possible street improvements for the South Acton Village.
The Town of Acton is embarking on a targeted Complete Streets Study for Main Street (Route 27) within South Acton Village. The project aims to address several key issues, including the poor condition of sidewalk, the need for safer pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, and the challenges poised by a series of closely spaced intersections that connect to the South Acton commuter rail station, the Assabet River Rail Trail (ARRT), and local businesses.
The Town has been working with a consultant team to identify possible improvements in the South Acton Village. We have been collecting data about the area and have reached out to the community for input. To see information collected to date, scan the QR code or follow the link to the interactive webpage. At this open house, the consultants will review what we have heard from the community and present conceptual recommendations for street improvements.
