Recreation Department office (in addition to 50 Audubon Dr.) at the NARA Sports Plaza located in the upper park area, 71 Quarry Road, Acton. This office will be staffed weekdays from mid-May through October 31.

NARA Park, the Nathaniel Allen Recreation Area, is located at 25 Ledge Rock Way in Acton and operated by the Town of Acton Recreation Department. The park is open year-round from dawn to dusk and staffed seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through late August.

NARA Park and Beach Rules and Regulations

NARA Beach

NARA Beach is open to both Acton residents and non-residents from Memorial Day weekend through late August. Beach-goers can drop in for a daily-use fee or purchase a beach membership pass. A lifeguard is on duty during hours of operation.

NARA Seasonal Beach Passes will be available for purchase in 2024.  Check back soon for details.



  • Open Daily: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (subject to change if necessary due to weather, lifeguard ratio)

2024 Daily Beach Rates Available (Residents Must Show ID) 

Acton Residents: $6 per person for ages 2 & up, with a cap of $24 per household up to 6 members. 

Non-Residents: $8 per person for ages 11 & under, $10 for ages 12 & up, with a cap of $45 per household up to 6 members. 

Special Group Rate (Must submit a Field and Facilities Request Form): $4 Acton Resident/$6 Non-Resident

Parking is free and located at the lower park (25 Ledge Rock Way) and the upper field area (75 Quarry Road).  Please use upper field parking area for field and concert events.
