Mosquito Spraying – Recreation Areas in Acton - Thursday September 12, 2019
As you may know, there has been an increase in EEE (Eastern Equine Encephalitis) cases in Massachusetts this year. Acton is currently listed as being at moderate risk for EEE by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (see http://www.mosquitoresults.com/).
In coordination with the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project (CMMCP) the following recreational field areas are scheduled to be sprayed on Thursday September 12, 2019. The spraying will start after dusk and the fields will be available for access the following morning.
The Acton Boxborough Regional School District will also be conducting spraying at school district fields on Thursday. More information is available at: https://www.abschools.org/

The most effective way to protect you and your family is to prevent mosquito bites. It takes only one bite from an infected mosquito to get EEE. Protections that you and your family can take are:
